Ok im VERY intrigued ny this setup. I have a no sew PLUQ version. A couple of questions..... You use regular line rather than sock cord? Paracord? Has it stretched over time? Do you have lines ran through the short sides to gather the ends? Do have have an issue getting into the hammock using the cord you use? ok......more than a couple of questions.

I didn't have any problems w/ stretch over time. And I do have draft collars on each end with shock cord built in to really seal the head/foot ends. See the below link for how I made my collars:

As a side note, I've changed my suspension setup and am really happy with the change. I'm attaching a crude edit of my picture from the original post. Essentially, if you're familiar with Knotty's Stretch Side Hammock, then I'm just applying it to my Underquilt.
This along with the draft collars guarantees that all four sides of my UQ are sealed - no matter what - period. It works perfect and couldn't be happier with it. I keep plenty of tension on my shock cords but they're not so tight I will feel them pushing on me. I highly suggest adding this modification. It's simple, makes sense and really works.
My UQ is a DIY Insultex UQ. So keeping a perfect seal is key. Since switching to this setup, I've had no problems at all and have slept in some very cold temps. I've easily pushed my UQ beyond the usual 40* you hear quoted for IX. With this suspension, I've been down to 18*F very comfortably. I've been lower before with my old setup but not comfortably. I expect I could hit single digits with this and be OK.
If I remember to, I will take some pictures of my setup next time I'm out.

Scum,
Ignoring the Knotty side stretch mod, why do you like this suspension system better than your original idea?
-
It was a sort of progression thing. One night I had a gap forming on my sides that caused me to be cooler than the temps warranted. So I had the thought to try the stretch side method to deal the sides. 2nd night proved the concept for me.
Once I got this, It eliminated the need for my old setup. It stays sealed up and had no fiddle factor with just a simple suspension setup.

I'm playing with my suspension now.
Your second version with the shock cord and prussik seems to do the same thing as the triangle thingies, but yours is simpler.
Thanks
