Separate stuff sack just for straps.... because of the sap thing.
Another ziplock bag user here....then inside the stuff sack. If you do end up having sap issues and use an alcohol stove you can us some of that to get sap off of your straps.

Gotta love that Tootsie Roll bag idea.
Mine go in the bottom of the hammock sac. I don't really worry too much about sap. The hammock is in the snakeskins so they protect it.
I keep mine in the Eno bag they came in, however, i have a ziplock freezer bag stuffed inside, I've had sap on occasion too.
What's the tootsie roll bag?
or DIY... :laugh::laugh:.. good times.
I use Dutch woopie hooks so I store my straps and woopies in the same bag as I do my stakes.
I would imagine the whoopies wouldn't be overly whoopy if they got some sap on them from being stored with the tree straps. Maybe just keep and store the whoppies with the hammock and put the straps in plastic will work for me.
Thanks Folks!
You raise a good point so ill explain my reasoning. My woopies are larks headed to my straps. The reason I store my woopies and straps separately then my hammock is because if it rains and my straps and woopies are wet I don't want any moisture getting to my hammock. If my woopies get some sap on them I don't find it to be bothersome. Their are 101 different ways to store straps and woopies and no way is the right way. The only right way is the one that works for you :).
