UQ suspension tension?
Just finished watching Shugs video on underquilts and he mentioned to make sure to snug up UQ so it is up against your butt for maximum warmth. When I am laying in the hammock and cinch up suspension to where I slip my hand under me between hammock and UQ to where it is almost touching my butt now it has started to pull the ends of the hammock together where there is slack in the ridge line and sagging. Where am I going wrong here?

I have my UQ suspension pulled pretty tight with lots of tension on the shockcords to prevent any gaps. That has never cause the ridgeline to change while I'm in the hammock.
It sounds to me like you need to put a little more tension on the hammock suspension.

I can't imagine UQ shock cord suspension providing enough support to affect the SRL of your hammock. What are you using to suspend your UQ. Prior to tightening your UQ suspension, is the SRL taut when you are in it?
-
Yep the ridgeline is tight when I start, and using 1/8 shock cord on UQ.

Not sure on that one.....a picture would help. Is it a channel UQ? Full length or 3/4?
I would think your weight in the hammock would keep the ridgeline where you want it.

Shug, it is 60" so 3/4 I assume? Shock cord starts at head end runs down through channel hooks around foot end gather then back up through other side channel up to head end and meets back up where started.
