October needs to hurry so i can use my new MacCat standard i got for this trip so i dont have to hide it from the wife.
without giving anything away prematurely, i want to say this is going to be our best hang. jazilla will be announcing all the plans as october nears. nothing is timed or regimented, but there will be plenty of activity, focusing on ground dwellers and new hangers. our goal is to increase awareness of hiking and hammock camping in this area. we do not have the miles of trails that other states have, but what we do have is quality. louisiana does have miles and miles of water, so kayaking in this state could be second to none. we are determined to make louisiana a destination for fun and fellowship and good times for our hammock forum friends. this hang is one i would recommend coming to.
That is interesting. I have been thinking about getting into Kayaking. Boats are expensive though.
Grand maw said we should have her party the weekend after her birthday instead of before it, and that I should go join my friends. You just can’t argue with a 101 year old lady. So count me in I’m there.
My great grandmother made it to 92 years young and there was no arguing with her either. Who can top that many years of experience??.....the way I figure, if they made it that long they must b doing something right! May as well listen;)
We're glad to have u join us. Noticed the boat n your aviator. Just a reminder to u and all, there are just as many water ways as ground trails where we will b. Y'all are more than welcome to bring kayaks and canoes. I know at least 4 guys that are bringing kayaks
Have it on my calendar, hope to make it mon ami
You know by the time you get everything for hiking/backpacking it's not much difference. I've been wanting to do the kayaking thing for awhile now but not the plastic boat. Pygmy Boats has great kits that anyone can do.
