silverpalm, you where way out on the outskirts of Yates Place. Nobody will find those straps before the next hangout. They will be there for you next time!:D
Just wanted to post that... even though Groundhog was there... I had a great time and it was nice meeting all of you. Hope to see you again at another hang. The food was unbelievable.
I took quite a few pictures but most of them did not turn out due to a 8 ft flame...
1st pic was dinner/supper time.
2nd pic was about half the hammocks in the piney woods... they were spread out way too far to get them all.
Anyway, Thanks for a great time!

if anyone is in the neighborhood, I left my straps on the trees way on the outskirts of the Yates Place. Take a look at cubiclewarriors picture and walk 200ft or more northerly into the piney woods. ;)
@Tallpaul well the trees are brown kinda rough with bark, cylinder in shape, and distinguishing characteristic is that my straps are tied to them! haha thanks anyway
@Bonepile I did not realize how far i was from everyone until this morning as I was looking underneath my tarp since my straps had stretched that far over the two nights. At least I did not hear any snoring...
If those straps are the "stretchin' kind -- then "Gear Upgrade" is sounding sweeter than 'drive for hours' :-))
if i were you silverpalm i would get the atlas straps i got them and they are way better than the slapstraps
Hey! I started an Official trip report thread here:
