Bugnet with endcaps (drawing)
As per request here is the rough sketch I used to make the bugnet with endcaps and the side pockets in the weather aproun. This is ala Sclittlefield (his drawings are available on his site); but came up with dimensions by measuring from inside the hammock. Overall height is from the ridgeline to bottom of the side of the hammock at centerline. Length is from ringstrap to ringstrap on suspension. Everybodies setups are a bit different so base your measurements on your own setup. Made pockets on 27"x72" sections first (used roll seam edges {RSE} just about everywhere). Then sewed both pocket sides to bugnet using RSE. Fastened on endcaps last. Tucked in outside corners of pockets to match diagonal drops from endcaps. Rough pic of inside pockets. Don't make center pockets too big (might develope a penchant for sticking your foot in it when getting out) this works well with gear in pockets. Holds up good in a stiff wind. Have fun with it :rolleyes:
