If you makes you feel better....the first tarp I made was out of non-waterproof fabric))))) Well...at least I made better on the second one.
Way to go.

Just finished grosgraining the edges of my first diy underquilt, will stuff tomorrow. This is going to give me nightmares...
Maybe we should start a new thread , where people can come clean about diy mistakes they have made! (what to name it, "true confessions"?......."next thing you know"..........."no one was more surprised than I when....." or " I never thought it would happen to me"!)
I love the replies folks. Yall have brought my spirits back up. I think there might be a place for a "come clean" thread!
UPDATE-
I finished attaching the new fabric this morning. It is getting easier and faster each time.
I got right into restuffing the baffles with my son's help and had it stuffed and sewn up by noon.
The outer and inner fabric is now only about 1 1/4 inches apart due to cutting the old fabric away but that should be fine.
It looks just like the first incarnation now that it is stuffed and has lofted. I still have to sew the end channels and grosgrain. I will post some finished photos when I get it done. That should be sometime this week.

Glad this went well.
