UQ on a WBBB questions
I'm contemplating making an UQ and am trying to decide on whether to go 3/4 or full length. All of the UQ's that WB sells are 3/4, so I'm not too sure if a full length will work well with the footbox design. Looking at the hammock, it appears to me that the footbox is more on the top side of the hammock and wouldn't affect how an UQ would snug up on the bottom side.
I could be wrong.....but curious why WB doesn't have a full UQ offering and looking for opinions on using a full length UQ on a WBBB. Any particular issues with a full length?
Thanks!

I have used my JrB Winter Nest on my WBBB 1.7Dbl with no issues.

I use an Incubator (full length by Hammock Gear) with my WBBB and have had no issues. Stays nice and snug and keeps me toasty warm.

Search for Shug's video's and also Water Monkey's. Both have lots of information on using the 3/4 UQ. I personally have a full length Incubator UQ on my 1.1 dbl and love it. Just depends if you mind carrying the extra weight. At this time, the weight penalty is not a problem.

Warbonnet actually has a 2/3 underquilt. To me it's perfect balance between weight and packability.
Many people who use full length UQ for the BlackBird have had great success with Jacks R Better and HammockGear.

I toss and turn a lot, and I'm a side sleeper. So I too went with an Incubator over the Warbonnet 2/3 UQ. The Incubator is considerably bulkier, not much heavier, and works perfectly for me.
Believe me, I'd much rather pack a smaller 2/3, but it just doesn't work for me.

The footbox will not be an issue. As you said, it is on top and really serves to move the bugnet higher in the foot area.

Thanks for the replies! Really appreciate it.

I use a full simply for a snugger (is that a word?) feel. I like the feeling of being encapsulated. I've never had an issue on the footbox, but routinely wake up with my shoulders exposed.
The first time it happened I couldn't figure out why I was cold, but now I just reach out and under and pull it up over my shoulder again. I'm still tweeking the uq suspension and it is getting better.
I've never tried a 1/2 or 3/4, and don't think I will.
