I've used this. Good stuff!!!
What is the stuff?

It's always in my small repair kit
The other good tape for first aid and repairs is Leukotape. I can't tell you how many hot spots I have protected with it to avoid a blister, usually on other hikers, but sometimes for me too. Most of my UL packs have small repairs to outer pockets and such made with Leukotape that are still going strong years later.
No more duct tape for me.
I came across this thread in the search and figured its worth a try. I picked up a 1" tear in my 1.6 oz fabric hammock. Location of tear is on the bottom at the midpoint. I'm thread injector challenged and was wondering if this would be a good solution for a fix. Thanks.
I'm glad this thread popped up. I have a tiny hole in some noseeum mesh...would Tenacious Tape work well to patch it? Would just patching one side be sufficient?...I'm sure doing both sides would be better...
I read of someone doing so - they said it worked, but you better do both sides or you'll have sticky somewhere that you won't want.
Seam sealant works on small holes - for a quick repair I would prefer it to tape.
Thanks for the quick reply! I think I'll try the tape as I have a sample, but no seam sealer at the moment. Supposedly, it doesn't leave a sticky residue…so if I'm not happy with it, I can try seam sealer later. I was already thinking it would be best to do both sides…thanks for confirming my thoughts. If it was anything other than mesh, one side would probably be fine.
I've used the clear Tenacious Tape on ripstop nylon and it works great. You can barely see the repair. It's more visible when the light hits it a certain way. Good stuff! :)
I am picky and I have been very happy with the tenacious tape. I really like the Gear Aid product line. I have made several repairs using Tenacious Tape, some of my gear has been in very cold conditions where glue normally lets go, however the Tenacious Tape stayed in place, held tight to the nylon.
I like the range of colors it comes in, something for most of us.
