Success on bug net project
I followed directions I found on Papa Smurf's site to make a nice tulle bug net. With stuff sack, 2.6 oz. Thanks Papa.
One thing I added to the tail end is a "net keeper" cord that bunches it up like a saggy donut when not in use and it can go into the stuff sack that way so that it is really easy to put onto the foot end whoopie sling during setup without flailing around with the tulle material.
It did happen, but pics might help, I agree

"net keeper" cord?
Would like to see photos of how you did this. I agree, holding this much tulle off the ground and gingerly feeding it through the foot end is a real pain.
I'll try and get a picture up. I basically took a pice of thin cord, maybe 18 inches long, and tied a bowline loop to the bottom of the tail end ribbon, through a soldering iron-burned hole. At the other end of the cord is a tiny 0.5 S-biner. So imagine you've pushed back your bug net, and it is hanging around your ridge line and end of hammock. You just take the biner end and hook it up over the tulle onto the bowline loop. This saggy donut can be left like that as long as the hammock is up. During take down, the cord is left in place and the whole mess put into a stuff sack, so that it's easy to thread your whoopie sling through the "donut hole" when you next need to set it up, release the biner, and pull the bug net back over yourself in the hammock. Can you picture this?
