I did somewhat of teh same thing with my first synthetic bag....although it didn't go on sale till like 3 months after I bought it so I guess it doesn't count ><
For what its worth I have the Sawtooth and its a great peice of gear! I'll be using it as a top quilt this weekend and we'll see how it does in the hammock w/ lows in the low 20s. For $129 thats a great value on a 15* down bag.
