newbie question
So I'm looking to get a Phoenix 20. I live in the Pacific Northwest and it can be real stormy one min the sunshine the next minute. My question is can I get the 20* UQ and use it in the summer and just vent if it gets too hot? A lot of places I go will still have snow on the ground and even the summer temps can get around the 40's. My other option is to get the 40* and buy another to use in the winter. It already took a lot to decide that pads were not going to work. All info is good info. Thanks

Hello from the Eastside! I find the 20* to be perfect. There's so many places here where you can be sleeping above frozen ground even into early summer. I did the Enchantments last July and I was definitely glad to have my 3 season set up. I used a 20* phoenix and a custom 30* top quilt both made by Hammock Gear. Get a bit too warm and just pull the insulation out from under your legs or loosen the ends to get the right amount of airflow to stay comfy. takes a little practice but I've been caught in 1 too many summer snow storms to rely totally on summer weight insulation.

Hey thanks that was just the answer I was looking for. Looks like I'm going to order it.
