A couple spliceing lessons for the day
Today I was finishing up a couple little projects for a trip this coming weekend. I screwed a couple things up while splicing and thought I'd share them so you might avoid the same mistake.
They say say measure twice and cut once. I say do the math twice and splice once. I wanted 2 24" inch continuous loops, so I took 24" added 12" for the buries and went to work. Well, I got done with the first one and it look kind of small:confused:. Well, I forgot to multiply the desired length by 2. Oh well, now I have a couple spare 12" loops.
It is also highly advisable to thread whatever you want on a continuous loop on before you start splicing:scared:. Fortunately I had only done one bury when I found my mistake.
So, two projects done and two lessons learned. On to the next one.
