So....good news bad news situation to report.
Package arrived today. Turns out that they shipped two explorers, one hex tarp, and one expedition asym tarp.
So, my own personal stuff is in...but we're waiting on HH to send my son's expedition and we're shipping back the exra 'xplorer.
Other bad news...turns out that the area I thought I could at least setup and take down was a poor choice...smaller than I thought and not a decent spot in it.
BUT...I WILL FIND A WAY! =-)
And Weasel (youngest son) will soon be ahangin' too!

So I pull out the HH Explorer tonight to inspect it and put on the snakeskins. I have my boys hold it up...wife looks at it and asks how in the world I expect that thin material to hold me up.
OUCH.
I'm 5'6" and 190lbs. I'm not sure the wife buys that it'll hold someone a foot and a half and 110lbs heavier than I am.

Waiting on the expedition :'( I have been wanting it for SO LONG!! in OR. right now.

Weasel is my youngest...once he's got his hammock I think we'll have to call him "Hanging Weasel"!!! :)
-
the Expedition has now came in and they gave me a free hex upgrade and another tree huggers strap set. I am happy!!
-
So...Weasel and I did a short trial hang today. First time we've been able to actually hang the hammocks.
Figured I'd share pics if anyone was interested. We've still got a lot to learn.
Sorry...will have to sort out how to upload pics when I get the chance.

So exciting waiting for new gear. Much more exciting to get it! I'm waiting on a Kelty Coromell 0 to use as a pod. :D All I need now is a tarp!
