Bogart Park, Cherry Valley CA.

Me and my boy went camping with some of my KungFu buddies last weekend. It was my son's first time sleeping in a hammock. He slept like a rock. I was a few feet away in my Blackbird. Neither one of us have UQs, we both used the heavy space tarps on the bottom and slept on top of ThermoRest pads,and slept in our sleeping bags. It got into the 40's, but we were warmer then the guys sleeping in tents. I woke up sweaty at one point. It was a good time and I was proud of my boy for braving it alone. He surprises me everyday.

Sounds like a great tiem out with your boy. And you may even find that a few of your tenter buddies start looking into hammocks when they hear how warm and comfy you two were. :cool:

That is mighty fine. That lil' feller will always remember those times with Dad in the woods. I know I reflect on the times with my Dad in the woods a lot. He always seemed relaxed in the pineys.
