However, I have no idea which brand will do. I'm 250 lbs and looking for something very light and versitle. I toss and turn at night so I'm not sure if that helps. And, I would like to be able to buy a complete setup w/canopy. Please suggest away!!!

Welcome aboard! Next stop, addiction.
Another Welcome to the madness. I would suggest before buying one to go to a local group hang in your area and see what other people have. Most of them would not mind if you laid in them to try them out. Then you are a little more informed in your decision.

You definitely came to the right place to fulfill your goal!
Welcome to the group from sunny Florida, enjoy your next hammock hang
Welcome. Say goodbye to your disposable income. It will be disposed.
ENO and Grand Trunk seem to be the beginner's favorites, but if I could do it again I'd probably go with a BIAS Weight Weenie Micro or a Warbonnet Blackbird.
Welcome to the madness you have certainly come to the right place. If I were starting all over again I would start off with a Warbonnet XLC. You can use it as a netted hammock or a no net hammock. I personally have not tried it out (but do own two black birds) and he makes a great product.
