Like Mrprez says, there's already a sticky under 'General'. I added 'quilts' to the title.
Perhaps stormcrow will link his table in that sticky as well.

I know I'm a bit late on this one, but should the Speer Peapod have that loft rating? It has a total of 5" top and bottom, so that would be folded onto itself. An actual single layer (which is how it is used) has 2.5" of loft. The way it reads, it would appear to have enough loft to be -30 °rated instead of its stated 20° rating.
That's a hard one to compare to the others. Mine has about 3" on bottom and 1.5-2" on top, depending on where I measure. But since it encapsulates the hammock, it's warmer than a simple 3" underquilt, and I can carry a thinner TQ. So you're right...saying 5" of loft is a bit different than a normal UQ w/ 5" of loft, but is there a better way to list it?
Hey All,
A suggestion....
To help the new hammock folks that look at it...
...it might be nice to have a "TQ/UQ" column.
It would also be nice to have a "1/2, 3/4, full" for UQ listings.
Agreed that the Peapod is an odd bird. Since it covers top and bottom, it could fall under UQ and TQ. Still, if it's an UQ it should show how much loft is on the bottom. That 5 inches reference just makes it sound like a heavy and ineffectual UQ which it certainly is not. ( I don't like trying sub zero without mine!)
This chart is Great! I've been researching to set up my first "real" hammock with UQ and TQ, and this is just what I was looking for.
One side note: This chart could stand updating... For example, Te-Wa's new site lists the fill of his TQs at 7, 10 and 14 oz for the 40, 30 and 20 degree models. This chart shows them at 7, 9 and 11 oz... a big difference.
The Perfect Trees site describes his UQ and TQ using 900+ fill down, not 800 (one or the other is right, not sure which). Also, the CrowsNest is listed on his site as 52", with 9oz of 900+ down, not 10.5 ounces of 800+
Also, the Yeti has 5.5 oz not 6, according to Warbonnet's site.
This is reasonably important to keep accurate, as otherwise newbies (like me) might make decisions based on inaccurate info!
Regardless, thanks for all the fantastic info. -D
Stormcrow's link from early in the thread is down. Is the chart hosted anywhere else?
Almost specification in the thread related to our quilts is different now. I REALLY need to update it.....I will do so when I get the chance.... The specs on my website are much more accurate. THanks
