Does anyone remember what the temp rating for the frog sac is?
Dutch,
Happy Camper alerted me to your inquiry. Rated to 45F per BPL:

I have been using mine as a T.Q. and can vouch for the rating. Doubled over, probably to freezing. Now that I have a REAL T.Q. (Speer), I guess I could part with it if you are interested...? Sell or Trade.
If you want to try it, let me know where to send it, OK?
We could trade, but that wouldn't help either of us since I really don't need mine either. I'm thinking of loaning it out for mahha.
Well, I wasn't thinking about selling it until Dutch posted. Then <while responding> it occurred to me that I haven't been using it. Since it is no longer manufactured, does it have extra historical/sentimental value?
Seriously, I don't know what to ask...? C'mon, YOU must have something to trade ;) - right?
It's in great shape! No rips, tears, patches, etc. Always stored "fluffed" up.
Will you be at MAHHA...?
I will be going. I also never use my frog sac and wondered about the value of it. I think since it isn't being manufactured anymore it should be worth more....say a OES spinn tarp.
I've got a mint condition one that I would trade for something like an 2/3 underquilt or an original sewn through peapod. Don't have the original stuff sack...doesn't matter anyway...you need a hydraulic press to get it back in there! Also have a origional JRB 8x8 tarp in "hi-vis" green with which to sweeten the deal.
How about my sewnthrough peapod for your JRB 2/3 vest quilt, and your frogsac and your tarp. I know what you mean aobut the stuff sack. I swear all of Speer's stuff sacks are about half the size needed. There is no way you fit a frog sac.
