A New Start
Hey, no one knows me yet, so if you see some crazy handing out 20 dollar bills to everyone he sees, it won't be me. Nope, not me, I just spent my inheritance on a Clark NX-250 / Vertex fly. I am totally open to suggestions as how to best enjoy this thing, so pile on. I only joined this Forum a few days ago, but I spent the last four weeks reading and trying to digest TONS of hammocking information. This community has an unbelievable amount of talent and knowledge, and I feel blessed to be a part of it. Happy hanging, ya'll.:)

First thing I did was change over to whoopies. :)

Welcome. Second the motion on Whoopies. Easy to make or cheap to buy, and I like it better than the stock ropes.
-
Welcome! I don't have a Clark, but love my whoopies. Well, I don't love 'em quite as much as I did since they don't have Dutchware Whoopie Hooks!

Congrats, and welcome to the 250 club!
I, too, recommend swapping out the stock suspension. I personally don't care for Whoopies, so I suggest a ring buckle suspension (rings and straps)...but, really, it's all personal preference.
I've never warmed up to the built in stuff sack, either. I prefer either hammock tubes, a Bishop bag or a double-ended stuff sack for packed storage of the hammock. The poles are a pain-in-the-you-know-what...search the Clark section here on the forums for ideas pertaining to those. I modified mine to make them shorter/easier to pack and less likely to lose. One of these days I'll get some pics of them and post 'em up.
