Tarp Question
I bought a WBBB and am using a Kelty 9 tarp which is much too big and heavy. I was wondering if anyone could tell me which tarp would work better for 3 season camping, the Asym-Diamond, the Edge, or the Mamajamba? I'm looking for something for backpacking that i won't get wet under. If anyone has any pictures of any of these tarps over their hammock or another light weight tarp it would be super helpful.

I have the mambajamba and I love it. I will be ordering the doors soon. Very large but light.

Diamond will cover you except in a blowing rain,,you might get some dampness on you. Lots of good tarps out there,,Wilderness Logics, Arrowhead, Warbonnet. Cuben even makers like Hammock Gear, and Zpacks. I would go for alittle more coverage than a diamond if its your first tarp..and if you want to go all out,,get a 4 season with doors as there are lots of ways to hang it.

I also started with a Kelty Noah 9, and didn't care for the coverage. I prefer a cat cut rectangle tarp. All the tarp vendors on HF, such as the ones listed by Acer, make great products. Search the specs, designs, weights, and prices, then pick the one that best fits your needs and budget.

3 season , an edge is perfect imho.
enough for a porch / room to cook under -- but not huge.
the mamajamba is a great tarp... but could be used 4S with the add on doors.

Thank you for the help everyone. That is exactly what I'm looking for rip. I have a tent for winter but looking for a minimal lightweight tarp that isn't tiny but i can cook under and put my gear under.
