Howdy from DFW!
I've been poking around the site for around 6 months now, and decided to join a few months back. I'm a long time scout camper, and I've tried just about every combination of gear you could imagine.
About 3 months ago I purchased my first hammock, a Clark NX-150 (I'm not too tall so decided to save the cash), and I'm sold!
I can be found most weekends camping around the DFW area with my son's scout troop.
This "hammocking" thing is GREAT!!!!!!

Welcome aboad! We're from the DFW area ourselves...usually, we camp somewhere outside of town, but occasionally test gear at Cedar Hill state park...

that is just down the road from me-- maybe we could have an S24O hang?
(unfortunately I'm booked for the next three weekends)

Howdy TexasHanger, and Welcome! Throkda's wife here :)
-
Throkda, s240...sub-, 24 hour, overnighter.
Go out in the afternoon, hike, hang, eat, sleep and return home in the morning. All in less than 24 hour time frame.
A quick diversion, test gear, recharge the "adventure" batteries...

ah...yup, that's what we did in January, when we first tested the Supershelter :)

Howdy! Good to have you along. I visit San Antonio every once in a while, and once in a while fly through DFW. Welcome to HF.
