New guy from ohio
Brand new to the hammock world. Picked up a Yukon outfitters to see if I like it and I love it. Have not spent a night in it yet but so far I like it. Just picked up the cinch buckle and strap kit, waiting to try it out. I have been using cargo straps with rings from Home Depot to test it out. Can't wait to learn more.

Welcome from Denver!
Sounds like you're off to a great start. The Yukon hammock and strap kit should get you going. Next, make sure you spend some time researching insulation to keep you warm on top and on bottom (via pads or under quilts). Getting cold (especially underneath) is one of the biggest learning points for most folks. The forums are a great resource.
So are Shug's videos:

I'd also recommend Derek Hansen's The Ultimate Hang. A great, short and VERY informative book that gives you all the basics to really get going.

Welcome to the forum, from the Newark area. You guys have some great free parks up there around you in your county. Love the lean-to sites, a lot of quality work went into those.
