Anyone willing and able to do custom, down quilt sewing?

I'm really enamored of this idea of putting down pillows in my Clark pockets.
I've got a design in mind, but I can't sew.

If anyone is open to doing the sewing work, please contact me. Obviously I'd pay for the work.

What I have in mind:
6 pillows total.
4 that are 12.5" x 24"
2 that are 15" x 24"
The pillows would be like mini quilts, with net baffles (just like a jrb 3 season quilt), and stuffed with down. On the edge of each pillow, there'd be a 2 inch wide flat fabric strip that ran the length of that edge. That flat strip would have velcro on both sides.

And that's it.

Anyone good at this kind of thing want to help me out?:D

What material for the outside of the pillow? How much loft? What's the purpose for the velcro? I could do this and wouldn't charge you for the time, just the materials. I have wanted to see about making a down UQ and this would be good practice for learning to sew the baffles. I have baffle material as well as lots of ripstop all I'd need would be the velcro, the down and whatever material for that strip on the side.

I have made a down vest and some down ski mittens, so I do have experience in working with down.

I would just want the outside material to be something light and easily packed that will stand up over time. Some ripstop I guess. Don't know if it needs to be water resistant or not since it will be inside the Clark pockets.

Maybe 2.5" baffles, stuffed to 3" of loft?

The velcro is there to mate up to the velcro that normally holds the pockets closed. This way, the pockets still get held closed, and the pillows are captured along the top edge so that they don't crumple into the bottoms of the pockets. The strip could just be a continuation of the ripstop material from the pillow, with velcro tape sewn on each side.

Next week, I can draw up some crude pictures to help explain.

Yep. Does the velcro need to be 2" or just the tab? If the latter what is the width of the Clark velcro on the pocket?

I estimate that you'll need 6 ounces of 900FP down for this project. That is 2 bags of down from Ed Speer. $30 per bag. Then you'd need 84" of whatever size velcro you'd want (Ed sells it in 12' X 3/4"). Figure a yard of downproof ripstop and another yard of no-see-um netting. You can get all this from Ed.

The tab could probably just be about 1.5" with the 3/4" velcro strip sewn across the middle of it.

So, for all 6 mini-quilts, I would only need a yard of fabric? Which weight would be ideal? I'm fabric-ignorant.

I double checked and you will need 2 yds. I forgot to double the fabric. You could use either the 1.9 or 1.1 ounce ripstop. I wouldn't use silnylon though.
