Bump! See post #5 for new thread related to June 22-23 activity at Grayson Highlands.
The rain was not a problem until we had to break camp that AM, then we got wet. It was raining so hard when we left that when we got into Boone I got turned around for a few minutes as I could not even see the road signs :lol:Quote:
Ummmm... don't think I can make that promise
Surely we won't get that much rain two Fall festivals in a row, but I will bring the tarp if there is any real chance of rain
If I can get off work for that weekend I will be back with the wife. Hope to do a little hiking this time. Had a great time up there.
We would love to participate again....it'll depend on Mom's art debut/open house here locally though. We are trying to push it to October, so hopefully, especially since it's a bit personal to us. (of course any of you who can make it to the open house are more than welcome once we get that date settled...it was this very hang last year that really got her rolling!!)
I hope both events work out well DivaB. We'd love to have y'all join us.
Gumbo and I are a definite maybe (read longshot). Depends on my class schedule for Fall. Won't know that until early August.
Soggy will be off in college studying her little brains out - so she's a no.
We had a good time last year. We'd like to do it again!
i am a def maybe as well. this year, ill either fly or bus it up and try to catch a ride with someone into the camp. please, whoever brought the rain last year, leave it at home this time.
thankfully i now have a real quilt set so i wont freeze my tender bits off.....
This looks interesting... Being a ways off I'll be in for a "maybe".
:woot::woot: Mom, Gutter (Dakota) and I are in!! Now I may have to forgo that SC hang I'm wanting to do too :( Just too much in September, but we love the Grayson Highland area so, so much. Too beautiful to miss.
Now....as for the weather....I'm saying right now that I'm sorry  There will probably be some kind of inclement weather. I tend to bring it with me on every hang. I look at it as some kind of strange test every time I'm out. Just saying.
