After my youngest daughter moved out into her own house, I decided to make her old bedroom my "hangout" and future office. Got the wall brackets up tonight and am looking forward to sleeping in a hammock inside for the first time.

Ok that's not fair. I am getting rid of two this year but still have 2 to go. I envy your new play room!
What type of brackets are those? I have wondered how people hang inside and just figured they were anchoring to a stud with a eye bolt or something.
I have a welder/metal fabricator friend who I trust for jobs like this. He's creative and usually makes things better than I could have imagined. He's also the same guy that makes yard stand extensions for me.
These one piece brackets are 3/16" steel welded together with fastening flanges. I plan to paint them the wall color. Probably go with a wicker basket at one end to store the hammock in. Making my bed will be so easy!!
I really like that bracket!
Looks like a great setup Tim!
Nice job Tim.
Yep I'm going down this road soon enough....
Very nice use of the new room!
color me jealous...
