I have to give the credit to Sgt Rock's and Just Jeff's websites. When I got into hammocks their sites had the most info on the net.

Sgt Rock - his website and info there about hammocking.
Hammock Hanger- reading her posts here and there.
Just Jeff- for his encouraging and informative website.
Whiteblazers - their posts were very convincing :D
My husband- for having to endure people giving him a hard time when they just couldn't believe he bought his wife a hammock for Christmas- and that it really was what I wanted! :)

Jim Greenway over at the Traildog Forum who first posted about his use of a hammock with a large tarp to cover he and his dog.
Ed Speer for his terrific book on Hammocking.
Just Jeff for his great website and for answering all of my "noobie" questions and not making me feel like an idiot, even though I'm sure that he has answered the same questions hundreds of times.
The "Jacks", Pan and Smee, for driving up to MAHHA and setting up a bunch of different hammocks so everyone could try different brands all in one place; and, for freely giving their experienced "hands on" advice on all sorts of hammock questions.
Thanks, also, to everyone on this board who have generously offered their advice and new ideas about hammocks on a daily basis.

I first read a glowing write up many years ago on the new Hennessy hammock in Soldier of Fortune, of all places. About four years ago I stumbled onto Sgt Rock's site, HikingHQ, and finally ordered a hammock. Uncle Sam has had me sleeping on the ground off and on since I was 18 (that was a long time ago) and hiking had lost some of it's appeal for me 'cause I was tired of dwelling with the worms and bugs...now, thanks to Rock and Tom H, I don't have to.
