US, Florida, Florahome, 12/2/2012, Rice Creek Shelter Short Notice Overnight

Going to do a short overnighter out at the Rice Creek Hilton this coming Sunday night. Figured I'd throw it open for anyone who wants to come.

I'm going to be biking out from Gainesville, and I figure it'll probably take me about three hours, plus time for lunch. So, assuming I get on the road at a decent time, I should be arriving at the parking lot around 11 AM or so. Figure another half-hour to make it down the bike trail to the shelter there, and we're talking 11:30 to noon.

I hiked thru there a month or so ago. The trail has some rough areas with several blow-downs but the camp looked in decent shape.

It was hotter than heck that day. Should be nice this time of year for you.

Some of us will be hanging out in the LWRSF that weekend but look forward to catching up with ya'll in Jan. Have fun!
