Well I'll be dipped. Type the number then hold the ALT key and type 0176. Degree symbol (°) appears when you release the ALT key.

That feels better than using an asterisk (*).

I did always love the hex codes on the PC. Once you figured one out, it felt like you were part of a secret club, that had inside info. :cool:
