I love Black Creek! I have been from Brooklyn to Cypress Creek Landing twice and it still is as beautiful as always. Hanging on the creek is on my short list.
Thanks for reminding me of how beautiful those sand bars are!

what kind of kayak is that????
also next time you go to the DeSoto..... Give me a holler....
Looked like a great time
Looks like the trip was a lot of fun. How many miles did you float?
Me and a couple buddies camp and/or play disc golf a lot at Paul B Johnson state park (which borders de soto) and have been wanting to float/camp/fish the black creek for a while. What kind of fish were you mostly catching? What was working best on them?
This is my FAVORITE way to travel and camp, I haven't in the past couple of years and now I'm getting a hankering to get the kayak out and take a trip somewhere. Just where exactly is this location your photos are taken of? At first I thought it was the panhandle of Florida as it looks very familiar, but then so does most of the gulf coastal region. Thanks for positing and maybe consider making a video sometime.

I like the Natives, is that head rest a DIY? I have yet to do Black Creek yet. Do you do Wolf? I have done the 2 nighter about 6 times. Would like to know how they compare.

Thanks for sharing. Never knew how much I was missing until I got my first kayak.
Sorry it has taken time to get back to everyone’s questions, I spent the weekend at Shepard State Park. I’m running out of vacation time so I’m getting in all the trips I can.
It’s a Native watercraft Ultimate 12 Angler.
Planning on it again this spring.
It’s about a 10 mile float, and you’re probably thinking, THAT TOOK 4 DAY’S? But the reason is I don’t paddle! I like to slowly take in every detail of the scenery.
I was getting large mouth bass and blue gills, all on a white beetle spin.
Never have done the Wolf, but it’s on my list, along with Leaf River and Red Creek. Yea the head rest is a DIY, when I saw how simple it was.
