Red top mntn day hike w/ grizzlyhackle

It was a pleasure meeting grizzlyhackle today!!. We wandered around the trails at red top mntn state park. It drizzled. We stopped at a bench by the lake for a snack. I started to get a blister on my heal. No fault of the shoes but not listening to my own advice & wore short short socks that kept sliding down. Thanks to medical tape wrapped around the handles of my hiking poles .. fixed that issue

Then we made it back to my house just in time for a homemade pumpkin pie just getting out of the oven. :D

Ummm... love pie! You really need to come to Linville Gorge with us sometime Clair. You'd love it there, including the pie at Louise's!

It was great meeting you and hiking at Red Top Mountain. You can probably get me out again real soon if you promise pie after every hike. Man that was good.
