Just Googling around I found this slide show. THIS PLACE LOOKS AWESOME!
Alright Mountnman! Glad to hear you can make it! Hope GMO finds his way there, too.
I've been thinking about a group meal...did a big ole' Blazing Saddles Bean Bash with my family and friends at the Gorge last Nov. Ten kinds of beans with ham, bacon, sausage, hamburger, pork butt, hot dogs, onions and peppers, a little Texas Pete. It was great! I built a tripod and cooked over the fire...good chow. (see some pics in my gallery.)
We all shared the extra weight on the way in. We could do something like that. I'll throw it to the group.....what would you like to do?
I'll offer to bring my giant stainless steel pot (like you see in the pics.)
Well, sure looking forward to seeing everyone and having a good time in the piney.
Home Run
I love the Gorge, but that weekend is booked for rehearsals and performance of an Easter cantata. Sorry, wish I could be there, too. :(
I would be in for a group meal. I just got work cleared for that weekend so Im officially in!
Very excited.
Buddy Im easy so see what everyone is thinking, Im cool with the bean bash and willing to help being a pack mule LOL My buddy Tim that you met and his son may be coming, Tim is thinking about buying his first hammock for this trip.
Cant wait!! should be a blast!!
Beans, really? I guess we'll be warmer in our hammocks after midnight!
I can bring my 14" anodized aluminum deep dish Dutch Oven that I paddle/camp with. It weighs 8 lbs (better than the 30 lb cast iron one I have). If someone with more resolve than me wants to carry it I'll make a peach cobbler! :D
I never turn down cobbler, we will get it in one way or another :)
