New from Ohio
This is something completely new to me. I've been a camper and outdoorsman all my life, but was just recently introduced to hammock camping. I purchased a Hennessy Explorer over the weekend, and can't wait to try it out. I really enjoy reading the posts on the site, and am amazed at the amount of people that are into this. I have noticed quite a few people from my area are members. I would like to talk to a few to learn more. I just wanted to introduce myself and thank all the members for their knowledge.
Thanks,
GW

I'm from the Canton area and while not totally new to hammock camping, I am new at doing it all from a back pack. Feel free to send a PM my way if you want to chat or ask any questions. I've been thinking it would be nice to get the Buckeyes together for something but haven't done much more than just think about it.
Welcome to the forum.

Welcome. I'm in Delaware, Ohio and new to the forum as well. There's a bunch of information here at your disposal and you couldn't ask for better people. :)

Welcome to the forums. This is a great group of people to hang out with. :) I hope you enjoy the new hammock and there are many here who will be willing to
help solve any problems you may have.

What's been going on over there in Ohio? The state's been quiet for a while and then it seems lately we've been getting quite a number of introductions from the Buckeyes. Keep this up and you all are going to have a great big, mini hang. Welcome!

Thanks everyone for the kind words and encouragement. I'm still waiting on my hammock to be delivered. I feel like a little kid waiting by the mailbox. I am in the process of buying the materials to build a portable stand. I hope to have it done before the hammock arrives. I saw one here on the DIY forum that was too cool. I thought that this would be great for those campgrounds where there were no trees or when hanging things from trees was prohibited.
I think I'm hooked.
Thanks
GW
