I found my old air brush and and air compressor the other day. I am going to try using it to spray an extremely thinned down mixture of silicone the next time I need to seam seal something. I will of course test it before I try actually spraying a tarp, but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work. If it does work it would make seam sealing a very fast and easy task, 180 degrees from what it is now.

You people just cost me $90.00

Got my JRB today!!! It's so cool...I opened it up in the kitchen and wound up in my office!!! This thing is HUGE!!! I'll be getting me some caulk...I use denatured alcohol out in the shop on some of my calls...got some "Lexel" but it's not silicon...so...I'll do what yall say and get the proper stuff.

headchange4u, why do you hate your airbrush? I mean, you're going to kill it an d all... :)
I have a Thayer-Chandler and an old AB.

I think the airbrush will be okay. Although it's over a decade old, it was a pretty nice AB when I bought it. I have several needles and tips for it so if I screw one or two up it's no big deal. I will run straight mineral spirits through it to clean it.

I ordered one today as well.

You've all talked me into! **** you're a coersive bunch! I'll have to put the funds in the bank tomorrow so I can place an order for a pretty brown one. Only way they could get better is if they came in Olive Drab.

Good lord! The thing is HUGE! Would be awesome for a trip where you expect to spend some time in the rain. I'm working on sealing it now.

just seam sealed mine
I just seam sealed mine. Wow is that thing huge! It will be a big upgrade over my stock HH anytime I expect anything but perfect weather. The set of JRB tensioners works great too, but I clearly need a lot of practice setting up tarps!

I just finally got on the ball after a couple of days of forgetting to stop at the bank and put the funds in. It's now on order can't wait to see my new gear for this year.
