Haha - yep, it's never-ending. I'm already planning version 2, and another version of the travel pod, and...
jeff. In a very large bowl mix equal amounts of: darn, I want that; looks cool; hm, thats a good idea; and imagine the possibilities. add the 2 lbs of unsaturated gearaholicism. blend for 2 minutes on the highest setting. bake at 400° for 45 minutes.
thats kinda what i feel like right now. darn, now i kinda want cake.
cant wait for version 2:D
I tried shockcord on the long sides of my 1/2 quilt thinking it would be good to slide it on the shockcord if I wanted to move it backward or forward. I found it wanted to bunch up some loosing length. I am going to try it this way next.Quote:
I'm still playing with the suspension, but I think it's gonna be shock cord attached to the corners and running to the hammock supports, then a piece of shockcord or elasting along the short edges. Shouldn't need too much adjustment since I can pull it completely tight against the hammock without worrying about compression.
Any new thoughts on attaching the 1/2 quilt?
Thanks
ANy plans on.... plans for this? heh
I am still working on the HHM1 (homemade hammock mach 1), due to a catastrophic failure of production machinery (the wifes sewing machine crapped out on me) so anyhting like a quilt is a bit off.... But these 1/2 UQs look like they would be a great idea for a DIY project... how impossible are they to make?
Hey Jeff!
Could you take some more pictures on your 1/2 quilt? I'm planning on making my own and could really use some tips and ideas.
Thanks,
Chris
I'm traveling pretty much non-stop for the next ~6 months. I'll see if I can get some pics in the in-between times.
ah ok, I'll just wait patiently for you to get back. Not planning to sew it anyway until late spring.
