Got the suspension in and a chance to hang it. There are 5' of 1/8" shock cord in the side channels with alternating Albrights and Rolling Hitches to the paracord ends coming out then through the carabiners and back around. The end suspension is paracord run through minibiners to the SRL with cord locks. It seals nicely, vents easily, and I could not be happier. This bag is 550 down rated to 20* and, though not ultralight, will serve me well for the time being.

Thats nice looking. I like the way you did the suspension. The tapered design looks more efficient than my rectangular UQ. Looking at the excess, I would put a number 3 coil zipper to join the two top edges together and voila! Pea pod!
That's an interesting UQ you made. It gives me an idea for an UQ/pea pod all in one design for cold and real cold weather.
