New guy in SC
Hey guys, Im a newbie from columbia SC. I buddy of mine got me on this site here and hopefully when it warms up some ill give this hammock camping a go. I am wanting to get into camping, so I can enjoy the outdoors and eventually take my daughter (who will be here in the spring). So I have some time until she's ready :)
Lets see if I can learn a thing or two

Glad you decided to show your face!
Don't hold the fact that he's a friend of mine against him. I promise, I associate with higher class folks than myself.

Welcome from Myrtle Beach. I reckon. If you are a friend of Gresh's you might be subject to a probationary period:lol: Learn a lot while here though.

Welcome from the upstate.

Awesome, thanks for the welcome. I'll try to hold myself to Gresh's high standard.
First order of business...do us SC people need these pads/UQ's in warmer weather? I was kind of hoping for a good experience of just jumping in the thing and snoozing...at most with a light blanket. Im well insulated lol.

When night time temps are above 70 most people can just hop in the hammock and be good to go with no under insulation. Especially with our southern style humidity. Of course some are going to need/want underinsulation no matter how warm it is. Dealing with the summer heat was a big reason for me to try out hammocks in the beginning. Feeling the cool breeze under you on a muggy night with temps in the 90s is a wonderful thing.
