what type of cord comes standard with tarps

What type of cord is that thin black stuff that comes standard on most of the hammock fly tie outs?

Not sure which cord you're talking about - most silnylon tarps don't come with cord.

Oware tarps come with cord but I don't know how to describe it - white and small diameter - maybe 1 mm or 1.5mm - 50 ft long

I take it you mean the stuff that comes standard with the HH? I don't know what it is, but I usually replace it ASAP with the orange 200 lb Spectra that Speer sells.
