Single Man Tent
Looking for a single man tent, eureka spitfire or clip flashlight if not then i can be either freestanding or not... double wall preferred in vgc... under 3.5 pounds. i'm looking to spending 90 shipped for the tent unless its a really good offer...
ITS NOT FOR ME i love my Blackbird. but its for my stubborn cousin who doesn't like the hammocking thing.
let me know if any of you have something that you're willing to part with.
I have a Eureka Solitare that's been used two times I'm willing to sell. This is the product details listed by the company.
Taking off on your own is so much better when you've got the right equipment. Eureka's Solitaire 1-Person, 3-season tent is light, quick to set up, and easy to use. Its simple assembly features include pole pockets on one end and ring and pin on the otherno crazy fabric tunnels to thread. An added zipper in the center of the door allows easy entry and exit. Solitaire's tunnel design can handle some serious wind. At 2lb 9oz, this 3-season solo tent is lightweight. Two storage pockets and a flashlight loop keep you organized when you snuggle into bed.

What you're looking for and the price you're willing to pay may be a bit of a spread. A good tent that hasn't been used much is worth more than $90.
I know everybody sticks to the high dollar equipment...but..
years ago I used a "scout Tent" .. it was just a regular A frame.
easy setup.. inexpensive..and light...
I just pulled it out not long ago... put it on the scale...2.5 lbs.
I see almost the same tent on the internet.
Stansport Scout Backpack Tent.....for about $30..
it says it weighs 3.8 lbs... but I bet you remove the poles and use your hiking poles you can drop that weight...
anyway... just an idea.. :D

I have a bunch of gear that I bought in anticipation of my youth group kids backpacking. Now all they want to do is car camp so I may be cleaning out the "closet" of the smaller stuff and just keep the larger/multi person tents.
I have a North Face Canyonlands that would ship to you at your price.
I also have a Golite Den 2. Although it is not stand alone and is a single wall for two people, it is a great tent and still fits your weight requirement. I would ship it for $120.00
(The links are good for info, specs and pics and although not mine, the info is accurate)
Both tents are used and in good condition.
Go for the Spitfire, Just a good all around tent! 2lbs 12 oz . 110$ new. anywhere from 50$ to 90$ used, maybe cheaper. Ebay! 90 bucks for a good tent is not unattainable!
i also have a eureka solitaire i will sell 50 bucks plus shipping been used a bit still in good condition
The Spitfire is a great tent for the money. I have several "grounder" friends that swear by them. Great ventilation, roomy, and weather protective. You can't beat the weight either for the price...just over three pounds! Campmor has one for 109$ : http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___23889. I'm sure you won't have any problem finding a used one on ebay or something in the 90-dollar range. If I recall correctly campmor has had them on sale for that price a few times.
As for the clip flashlight. Wow! That's a classic! An oldie but goodie. I think they still sell those new and haven't change the design too much. 3 pounds, 4 0z's, not as much ventilation as the Spitfire.
I have a very lite weight, one person tent by Eureka I would be willing to part with.
I can't remember the name & I don't see it in Eureka's current line so they must have replaced it w/ a newer version.
It's the same basic shape as the "Clip Flashlight" but a little smaller.
I liked it just fine back in the day, except for the usual complaints you'll find here about tents.
If interested, I'll try to find a few more details.
Couldn't remember the name, so I had to go look at the tent.
No wonder I didn't find it in Eurekas line of tents... it is a "Light Year" by Sierra Designs<G>.
If interested, I'll ship it for $90, shipped. (Willing to bargain)
Good condition w/ foot print included.
