This Place is Dangerous
Well, I joined this forum a month ago just to find out a little more info on hammocks since my daughter decided she'd like to sleep out in one on our next camping trip.
So far the things I've built/made from instructions on this forum are;
3 gathered end hammocks with 1.9 ripstop from joanns (on sale 50% off)
6 whoopie slings from amsteel (hadn't even heard of amsteel before)
1 bug screen
1 portable hammock stand (just finished this morning)
For another 6 months, I'm still in Southern CA in the middle of the city (as you can tell by the photo) but soon we're moving to some property in Oklahoma where I can see these getting a lot of use...
I've also been introduced to the youtube antics of shug which as a fellow juggler I have to say that's one funny guy..
Yea! Hammocks are an addiction. The never ending quest for lighter and better goes on and on. Welcome to the madness.
:lol: welcome! and you're just getting started!
Just think what your gear room will look like after 2 years of this forum........it is only an addiction if you want to quit and can't!!!!!!!!!
What's wrong with Southern California? Lots of places to hang!
Tread lightly, friend. This site is addictive....
I like the commitment to "oklahomamike" before actually moving there... Confidence is everything:D
I know what you mean, I knew I had a problem when I modified my deck to make it easier to hang my DIY hammock!
You've been busy. I hope you have a large place waiting for you in Oklahoma!
Talk to me in a year. We can see then how many car payments worth of gear you've amassed. :laugh:
Welcome to your addic....to the Forums.
