Overnight in the Whites NH, gear check
Hopefully this isnt the wrong place for this, if it is please move.
Making an overnight (or two) in the whites in NH, flat mountain pond area so nothing above 2000 ft at night. Low in waterville valley is saying 35 on Saturday night so minus a few. I just wanted to make sure I didn't need more at that temp... All comments welcome please. Thanks!
HH expedition asym
JRB winter nest
Mountainsmith Wisp 30 degree bag
Zpacks 4 season CF
Montbel featherlight pants
Patagonia rain shadow jacket
extra pair smartwool heavy socks
Patagonia ultralight down shirt (could remove and take a western mountaineering flight jacket but felt was overkill)
I think those are the things that matter, but if anyone is interested, here is the rest.
pinnacle solo pot/lid
snow peak backpackers mug
pinnacle convertible spork
poop kit: tp, friction balm, a few wet wipes
7ish matches, 3 stormproof, striker, mini bic, firestarters (petrol cotton balls), adventurer ultralight FAK (i think only two of the anti septic wipes have been used from it and one band-aid. rest is intact)
fenix e11, speedo shammy, thermarest lite seat, 2x poland spring thin bottles, sterilite adventurer (or platypus dirty bag plus gravityworks inline filter/tubes depending, might take the filter this time), map/compass, iphone, 3x4 tyvek sheet, pack cover, ursack bag, notepad, pencil, knife (forget the name), personal weather station clip on, poles.
I might be missing someting and probably am. Anyway, will be a nice trip. Foliage is in the extreme right now.
