When Shug did a piece on Adams underquilt I took a look at it and then compared it to everyone else and decided that HammockGear underquilt made a much better buy for my money then anyone else's on the market.
I'm going to start selling some gear that I dont use anymore or have only used a few times (if ever), to get up the money to buy a 0*F Winter Incubator with 2oz overstuffed.
The one thing I was wondering is, Where is the choice for the Coyote Brown?
That color is what I think makes the Hammock Gear product stand out from everyone else's. It just says "Hey, look at what is keeping this hammock warm at night".
Does anyone know why Adam is not useing this color anymore, or is it a special order color?
I love that color as well ... Stromcrow will chime in ..but it has something to do with getting quality material in that color ..
This is what he told me. I was bummed I couldn't get brown. But I've come to love my black/green Incubator.

Yep, what they said...
I offered it for a time but I had to discontinue it. I received a shipment of some sub par fabric from them and when I asked about it, they said they would not be able to continue to guarantee that I could get it with the proper specifications for a good under quilt material. I say under quilt because it MIGHT have passed for top quilt material because it was still pretty down proof, but it has a very poor DWR finish to it and was just too breathable for my liking. So, we let it go.
We are planning to try to get that color again but still do not keep it in stock. Like Black Wolf mentioned, Thru-hiker carries what they call a Coyote Brown. It is a little bit different but still a decent color.
Thanks for the info on the brown. I wish they would have upped the quality control for this color. Its what would make your quilts stand out against everyone else's.
Where do you put your Logo on the gear?
small tag along the suspension channel. It reads HG
