Loving an Under Hammock!
This is probably old news to most here, but for around $10 at a lot of Army/Navy stores, you can buy nylon net hammocks which make great gear stows/organizers. The past two outings, I've really enjoyed having my gear up off the ground and spread out under the fly.
Here's the gear stow before I staked the fly on the near side. The hammock is a Hennessy Explorer Ultralight with the Hex Silnylon (30D) fly.
Set up and ready for some ZZZZ's.
That's awesome. Gonna have to look into this one. Did u mod it at all?
Good way to keep things dry. Thanks for sharing.
Just used some paracord on each end for a little more reach.

The irony? Those camo flames look a lot like antlers. :D
Here's a daytime pic from a couple of weeks ago. Keeps the critters and water out of your gear. And it packs down to about the size of a baseball.
Yes but how much does it weigh?
Not sure... enough that the function is worth it to me.

I always hang too low for these gear hammocks. My underquilt just clears the ground after I'm in the hammock.
But olddog has a similar setup, where he attaches his above his hammock on the tarp's continuous ridgeline. Either way, these certainly are convenient!
Same here. Although I do rig one along side of my hammock and pull it off to the side with a grip clip/stake.
