How do you have your Pullouts on your SF rigged?
Do you use Poles on the Pull out or do you Go out to ground and stake them?
I came up with an Idea I am going to Test, just wanted to see if anyone was doing this already or something like it.
I will get my set up with Pics on here tomorrow, weather depending.
I have seen people run a pole over the pullout to pull them up...

I am interested to see what you come up with as I have seen everything I can think of though...
I usually pull both lines together and wrap around one hiking pole then stake to the ground.
This is what I usually do to create a more open feel inside. Or, i might prop up both corners of a side directly to a standing trekking pole to create 'porch mode'. Otherwise I stake directly to the ground.

one piece of 6' shock cord connected to both, pulled from the middle to a hiking pole, and 1.75 zingit to the ground.
I do it pretty much like HamMike. Works for me.
If there are plenty of branches available I will just tie out to those, but I can do the hiking pole method pretty much anywhere.
It depends. We had some really high winds over the weekend, so I used 2 poles on each side. That way it pulled the panels out and away from each other, made the tarp much tighter. When the lines go to one pole, the middle of the tarp sags. I did think about trying to place a pole horizontal, between the lines, then go to one vertical pole, and one stake. But figured if I'm going to end up using the two poles, an extra stake will give me extra holding power with the wind.
If there wasn't any wind, rain or snow, then one pole would be used.......,RR
The Tarp sagging in the middle has been the center of my rework. I too have been using shock cord to a pole then to the ground.
I am working on a Mod that uses 2 sections of Zingit, a small fiberglass pole and some shock cord. This all attaches at my Hiking pole then stakes out. I have the set up complete but have yet to test it. I plan to as soon as work permits me out of my office long enough.
If it works out I will get some pics up.
sagging would indicate something isn't set tight enough. by "middle" do you mean the ridgeline or the fabric between the panel pulls?
