no bugnets ?
"This is a great hammock, but I never use a bugnet. I thought Thing1 would use this hammock... now she prefers to be bugnet free!"
i don't really like to use bugnets either....but what do you all do when the bugs find out ??
I treat my gear (clothes and hammock body anyway) with permethrine; keeps 'em out.

I also still use the Lemon Eucalyptus repellent, works great.
Permethrin, Picaridin, and a net. Welcome to sunny Florida...there's a reason that folks didn't start moving here in droves before air conditioning was standard on houses...
If it's cold enough to forgo the net, it's cold enough to forgo the Picaridin. The Permethrin still goes on the clothes; we get ticks in January, in 40* highs for the day, down here.
I use a light weight silk bandana, a "Wild Rag"... just toss it over my face... never even feel it... bugs don't bother me!
