around 98 inches as that is 83 percent of the hammock length. Make two fixed loops at the end of the rope and larks head them to where the suspension is coming out of the end channel of the hammock....

Just thought I'd chime in about the temp rating. I got one awhile ago to wear as a jacket :lol::laugh: go figure. anyways with just a t-shirt I was toasty at 30 degrees roughly. Hope that helps!
