Good deal on the Bernina you need to look at the asking prices on ebay for 730 record. The special stitch drive gear can be had for about 30 bucks and is about the only thing that fails on this...
A[QUOTE=shipsgunner;1222226]Never thought I would see a chainsaw manufacturer's name on a sewing machine
Thanks
I think its more like a sewing machine manufacturer who makes chainsaws who would...
I roll the webbing and push it threw a piece of arrow shaft then melt the end of the web and shape it like a bullet. Works great and very easy.

[QUOTE=Debi Jaytee;1164282]I can't get the machine to tilt back in the case
Most of the slant needle machines bolt into the case look on the bottom
[QUOTE=gmcttr;1164075]Debi...is that a wood base? What's the top look like.
When it comes to sewing machines you are always seeing something you haven't seen before.
I use mine on every hammock I have including my sons bb. I added ribbon at the end to tie so the Velcro wouldn't separate. Works great with a little fiddling around.
Been sleeping in a recliner for 20 years can't wait untill my son moves out and I can take over his room to hang a hammock.
Beautiful. Just Beautiful thanks for sharing with us.
Glad to finally meet all of you hope I can do it again real soon.

Thanks Rev I'll see you Friday. How early
At times when it was real cold I have used the asym tarp as a winter cover under my hex tarp. My buddy dose pretty much what you are talking about with a 8x10 tarp tucked under one side of his asym...
I would like to join y'all this weekend. What should l bring other than my hanging gear.
Looks like the trip in 06 that got me out of a tent and into a hammock. We were soaked. My buddy in a HH explorer was high and dry. Convenced me. Ordered my first hammock as soon as we got back.
Works either way. I have both the hex that came with the sufari and the newer lighter model both work great.
They are so much fun when their small
How's the 301 you found in Camden

[QUOTE=VictoriaGuy;1104896]Picked up an Elna Supermatic today - $20 because it was making 'a noise' :D
It was noisy - whump,whump,whump....
Looks like you have the machine addiction. You are...
I have a 6440 one of the first high quality machines I bought. Put it in low gear and it will punch threw just about anything.
Works great and has a nice stitch. I think this is starting to get addicting, but these old machines are really well made and fun to tinker with
Great find they are addicting I have close to 100...
I bought 250 yards 1.5 ripstop at.55 a yard with shipping it came to .85 per yard great material and arrived in 2 days.
Welcome from SC. I use a Safari Deluxe as my go too hammock most other hammocks will feel small after that monster.
Welcome from SC. We don't get much snow but I really enjoy the cold.
I always say I have more time than money. If I get a good deal on materials its DIY. If not its store bought. A little research goes a long way.
White Rotary sewing machines are just like the common kenmore rotary sewing machines from the late 30s to mid 50s. They were made for sears by white and much of the parts are interchangable. Some of...
Very nice 301 in the best color very desirable model. Serviced ready to go. You did good
My wife always asks me to teach her to sew that's her excuse to get me to make her or a friend some clothes.I hate to make clothes they are used a few times and exiled to the back of the closet...
Regardless its a very nice machine having the model number on the front makes me think late 50s they made class 99 until 63 . I have a 1925 #99 knee control in a wooden mail box style case its great...
Clean little 99 what year is it.
Sounds high to me I would look for an older heavy metal machine you should be able to find a pre 70 machine in usable condition for $25 or less unless you pick a popular model.
I have many singer's and singer clones they are good basic machines especially the older ones. Kenmores are good machines untill the early 70s. Pfaff and Necchi are very smooth but for real power...
My newest addition to the family a 1960 PFAFF 360.
And my wife thinks I'm crazy an I only have 80 machines
Hunting island is great. Just don't leave your peanut butter out the raccoon's, DEAR, AND Squirrel's will clean you out.
A good deal haven't found any bad spots in the 259 yards I bought so far. Same shipping regardless of amount purchased and that roll was heavy.
The dismount was a bit harsh.
Well welcome from SC I think you have made a wise decision.
+1 on supply. Captain. Seven dollars for 100 foot 1/8 inch many colors to chose from and fast shiping
I make my adjustable ridge line as a woopi sling fixed loop at the other end then thread the suspension threw the loops. 7/32 amsteel or even zing it works great. I don't use much para cord.
Great fun get them on the AT early.
Great video. Always fun. Thanks Shug looking toward to more once you get back on your feet.
Great carvings. The people on HF are what keeps me coming back. Nowhere else can you find someone who makes a product to sale that will help you make copies of that product for your own use. Thanks...
100 feet doesn't go far seems like it just vanishes. Better buy much more before it runs out you don't want to have withdraw pains.

Welcome from SC. Home is Lebanon. But don't get back often my parents still live in Castle Height.
Welcome from South Carolina USA. Can't help much with recommendations. Usually make what I need but you will find what you need on the FORUM.
Depending on your machine the plate that the needle passes threw might be available with a single hole instead of a slot. Less room for material to get pushed threw. This is called a throat plate or...
