I can't find where to order two tips for the .665 spreader poles, tried to DIY a spreader solution with poles only, now realizing I should just go double whoopee hooks and tips. Any ideas on how to...
I've never experienced down shifting in either of my Burrows, but I tend to sleep like a corpse when I'm under them.

I'd vote yes if it were in the donating members section
Another vote for no picture requirement. No need to pass along a buyer's risk aversion to the seller and moderators.

Unthread and rethread the machine, top and bottom. 9/10 times for me it's because something in the upper threading got wonky.

I'll take it.

For that budget, I'd have some fun...maybe a 0 incubator and a 20 phoenix on the bottom, and on top, a 20 burrow and a 40 burrow...mix and match and stack as conditions warrant...

I have no real advice to offer, just wanted to share that I was in the process of sewing a 15x15 group tarp for arctic conditions when I got notification on this topic.
Spooky.

Inseam lengths?

I use some shock cord, a line loc, and an s-biner in this way to provide adjustable "lift" in the middle. Very helpful with heavier down and synthetic quilts.

Low dryer and some tennis balls is where I would start

Fence top rail FTW. I added a 4' length of pvc pipe (1.25" iirc) to "sleeve" the joint in the top rail, as that is a likely failure point in the Turtle dog design...

Boil water each night, put in bottles, slip bottle into a thick sock, and sleep with them in your hammock. No cotton clothes. Drink a nice warm beverages before bed. Drink a lot of water, you get...
Is admitting you have a problem. Once my Incubator 20 arrives, I will have five HG quilts: 20 degree burrow, Phoenix, and incubator, and a zero+ incubator/burrow set.
And I know that's child's...
Placed my order on 10/28 and got my shipping notification this morning (11/4). Well oiled indeed!

Ordered in the first few hours of the sale....fingers crossed!

Wow! Didn't think I needed an Incubator 20 but saw the flash sale on Facebook clicked it and next thing I knew a gray one with an extra ounce jumped into my cart then PayPal and here I sit......
Yup, just slip the loop over the knob on the gathered end hammock. No additional hardware needed.

Perhaps a silly question - was the original run in Tri-Blend, or is this something new (cooler/lighter weight)?
I'll take the incubator

It's 3/4 length, should have mentioned I did have a foam foot pad slipped into the foot box of the top quilt. I do think I could tighten the suspension up a bit, which could help. Going to do more...
A data point from some backyard testing. I slept out two nights ago, got down to about 48 degrees, calm night. Using just my Costco topquilt and underquilt (single quilt used for each, no doubling...
The shiny side repels bear attacks better.
You can try this : Turn anything into an underquilt for less than $10

Set complete, underquilt was easier than the top quilt. Summer quilt set for under $70. Very happy with how these turned out! Total weight for the set, including stock stuff sacks, is 1 lb 14 oz

I just did a straight seam, absolutely nothing fancy. Just make sure the "pretty" sides face out. I did do a rolled hem on the cut side, other side obviously had the factory edge.
I sewed up two "pole pockets" out of 2" webbing from Dutch. Also ordered two 18" sections of the 3/4" easton poles, one male, one female, no tips. Once you have the pockets made, just slip them...
Alright, I'm guessing I'm about the 100th person to "discover" this, but couldn't find anything with a quick search, so I thought I'd share.
For less than $10 you can turn any blanket/sleeping...
Just tried a spreader bar setup with my daughter on Friday, worked great.

Also, not sure if this forum is the right place, or you're planning on being able to do this on the new site, but a place with a bunch of recipe ideas that one could create from your offerings would...
Agree, maybe adding some info on what the servings are when fully hydrated?

Welcome! Glad you're here, lots of good people willing to share what they know about hangin'.
My current wait time is four hours, thirty minutes. I'm getting ready to board a plane home, where I'm told a very light box is waiting for me [emoji1303]
Welcome back!
I'll take the Dutch lot. Please pm PayPal info.
Congrats! Nice looking splice work.
And welcome to the dark side...
High quality gear from the cottage vendors keeps its value extremely well on here. If you have the means, spring for a 20 degree quilt set from Hammock Gear, a Superfly, and a hammock from Dutch...
This, minus Dutch, is my method as well. Simple and light.
