It's for the non-swaged ends (wide end). They fit really well.

I made mine this weekend and I just used rubber leg tips from Home Depot. They work really well. The 1 1/8" work great. The 1 1/2" are too big and just fall off.

What size leg tips are you using? I can find 1 1/4 and I can find 1 1/2... Wasn't sure if the smaller ones would fit tight or if the larger ones are tight enough to stay on all the time.

What about a blackbird XLC? Then you can remove the bug netting and the longer hammock has a really nice lay. Though a lot of your choice will come to personal preference.

Do you have photos of your ridge line? I prefer a CRL but I am worried about using one with the Superfly since it seems so big.

This might help you for perspective of the platforms. This was shoot at Adams Tract just a few stops down the river using those same platforms.

These are some of my favorite places to camp. No bugs, no need for a rain fly and usually room for 3 hammocks in each platform.
