10-4 Under quilt protector.
I’m making a weather shield out of .33 Cuban Fiber and have a question? I have read that you want the shield to be breathable to prevent condensation. Seem to me that if there is condensation on the...
Is it not lighter to just go with 1/8 then to carry an extra set of 7/64? I'm not sure how much more the 1/8 weighs then the 7/64.
I know a 7/64 amsteal whoopie is strong enough for a section hike. I have used mine about 24 times but its looking a little warn. My question is, will 7/64 last for a Thru Hike. At least 120 night in...

How long is a spredder bar? Is there any reason that a carbon fiber arrow would not work? Would a fiber golf shaft work. I have never tested them but I'm sure eace could hod 50lb.+ before breaking.
As long as you are not on the AT you can Hammock any where you want. Trust me when I say there is no shortage of trees in the Samkies. If you are on the AT you must stay at a shelter, and you must...
No need to do a differentlal cut on a Top Quilt as it just lays over you. It does help prevent compression of down on the under quilt. Easer to do on the under quilt too if you run baffels leingth...
It sems to me that I have been more comfortable with more under quilt the top quilt. Easer to adjust comfort from above.
Try a longer burry my are about 16 in.
Tree free hammock is called a tent.
I asked in another thread if an integrated under quilt would work. It seams that due to the stretch of the Hammock, not such a good idea.
So, I got to thinking, its not the under quilt I have the...
Use a wider stich then usual. I have started to taping first and sewing with a wide stitch. Seems to be the best of both worlds.
How high can water splish under a tarp. My hammick is usualy at least 30" when I'm in it. I tryed it in the back yard with a garden hose. I could not get it to splash higher then about 15" no mater...
length x width x height. 80" long x 6" wide x 2.5" high devide by fill power
80x6x2.5= 1200 sq in if 900 fill it 1.33 oz of down if 800 fill 1.5 oz down 700 fill 1.71 oz of down.
I made one out of 4" webbing and whoopyslings did not use it enough to be worth it.

Won't someone that does all the videos take down and synthetic and try to get them wet say drape them over a line in the rain. check them a 30 min interviles. See how long it takes.
Most shells are water resistent. So they are hard to get wet. If you get any bag wet through and through they suck. Not just down.
Try it with Rotary cutter and a mat, same idea but faster. You should be able to cut 8 baffles in about 10 minutes.
Every thing that stays the same, no change over time. Food, fuel, and water change so are not included. Some say only what you carry in your pack. To me its everything. Putting some things in your...
