Hello from South Carolina!
Stumbled across Shug’s videos and this forum about the same time as I was looking up information on the Foothills Trail here in SC. Decided that I needed to check out the hammock scene and ordered a...
I love using my hammock in lounge mode. I keep my rig in the top of my pack just so I can set it up for rest and meal breaks instead of carrying a stool
Oh man, such great videos! So glad I found this thread. I had to subscribe to your YouTube haha

My scariest moment just happened on my last trip to Ellicott Rock Wilderness. This was just after Hurricane Irma passed through the area and there was a ton of trees still down and the trail...
As mentioned by others, I carry a candle lantern on every trip, but I never have it in the hammock with me. It's on the ground or hanging nearby.
Congrats on a successful hang and a well done video!

Nothing special, just some instant Quaker Steel Cut oatmeal, brown sugar I think was the flavor. Coffee wise, I always carry the Medaglia d'oro instant espresso after learning about it from Shug's...

I test in the yard all the time but because I live just inside the town limits the ambient noise means I don't often sleep overnight in the backyard. I have free camping in the national forest 15...

I worked in Woodruff from 2005-2008 and my ex-Wife is from there. Her and her new husband and my kids still live there. I am there each weekend to pick them up. It is a small world.
Anyone did any hanging in the Enoree District of the Sumter National Forest? I'm itching to get out and a backcountry permit for dispersed camping is free. There's a lot of acreage, I'm just...
